Griottines are produced by Grandes Distilleries Pereux, the world leader in the maceration of fruit, in Fougerolles, France. The Oblachinska Morello cherries are grown exclusively in the Balkans when during harvest, 500 million Morello cherries are handpicked in just three weeks. Then follows a six month period of successive macerations in liqueur until the cherries have fully absorbed all the flavours of the liqueur and are ready to eat!
