No matter what the size, a company needs to be guided by honesty and integrity. Trying to be successful in a highly competitive climate make it more challenging to meet these higher ideals. Pacific Gourmet for more than 25 years, has succeeded in being fair to both its customers and employees. It is the larger global issues of sustainability and fair trade that prove to be more complicated. We are striving to find better and more benign alternatives to GMO based products and are seeking out small and family run farms and producers. Our primary mission is to offer the finest variety of ingredients to restaurants, hotels, bakeries, and food service providers in Northern California and nationwide.
We aim to provide a comprehensive selection of products in three ranges:
- The very best quality available
- A local version and an organic option when feasible
- The most reasonably priced product without compromising quality
Our focus is on specialty foods yet we believe that the highest quality food doesn't necessitate a luxury goods mark-up. We carry well over two thousand products and we attempt to have contacts with the people who actually produce them.
